SWAT (Students with a Testimony)
Senior High Ministry
The name, SWAT, is significant because through telling how God is working in our lives we are able to share that Jesus is Good News with others. SWAT is a student-led, adult mentored ministry for high school students in grades 9-12. Through SWAT, students will have opportunities to experience friendship, grow as disciples, and be mentored in leadership. SWAT meets on Wednesdays in Great Room 1 at 7 PM. On Sunday mornings, there will be many opportunities to serve through Sunday School, worship, and other bible studies. Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble—Proverbs 17:17 (The Message)Register for SWAT
Junior High Ministry
During this three-year ministry, youth explore the stories of the Old and New Testaments and learn the basics of our faith: the Ten Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, the Apostle's Creed, and the Sacraments. We want the youth to not only learn more about their faith, but also form friendships within the faith. We strive for each Confirmation Small Group to be a place where youth can share their struggles, laugh, play, and pray for one another as their faith seeks understanding. Opportunities for retreats, fellowship, and service are also a part of this ministry.Register for Confirmation
Camp Hope is a three week day camp that grows Biblically literate children and youth.
Camp Hope is unique because of its leadership. Camp Hope is staffed by Junior High, Senior High, and College age youth who want to do something that matters with their summer, be part of a community, and learn to be servant leaders. These youth are interviewed, trained, and empowered to be Christian leaders through this camp. Children may begin as young campers but as they grow in years they are mentored to become Support Staff, Small Group Leaders, Directors, and Camp Managers. Through Camp Hope we are intentional about raising up faithful leaders who serve not only in this congregation but also in the world.
