Endowment
We enjoy shade from trees we did not plant and water from wells we did not dig.
-Deuteronomy 6:11
The Kinsmen Lutheran Church Endowment Fund was established in 1997 to provide caring individuals with an opportunity to leave enduring financial gifts. The Endowment Fund enhances the financial stability of Kinsmen Lutheran Church and provides security for the future.
Endowment Fund contributions earn income that is used to fund ministries in accordance with the fund’s distribution policies and in keeping with donor intent. These ministries and programs are connected to the values, vision, and purpose of Kinsmen Lutheran Church. The remainder is invested by the ELCA Foundation in the Ministry Growth Fund (formerly Fund A) to preserve the principal and prudently grow the Endowment’s value.
As the Endowment Fund principal grows through gifts, the greater the support for the work of the Church.
God’s work in the world has spoken to your heart…But where do you begin?
The motivation to make a gift to Kinsmen is as varied as the people who make these gifts. But there is an unmistakable common thread — the heartfelt desire to make a difference. That difference may not be evident until future generations, yet this commitment to stewardship runs deep within our faith and lives.
If you have made the decision to include the Kinsmen Endowment Fund or Kinsmen Lutheran Church in your end-of-life plans, there is a critical step to ensure your wishes are fulfilled. That step is to download and complete the Kinsmen Legacy Gift Information Form or pick up one to fill out from the displays near the Church Office. The information form is kept in strictest confidence. It is a tool to ensure your loving generosity beyond your lifetime is honored and understood.
